My receptacle is bugger'd by the fact that the second of my two semi-cheap DDR pads (that I bought last summer) just stopped working the other day, and that I should probably be looking into buying something higher-quality and most likely ludicrously expensive. Roll Eyes Lune

A Cobalt Flux? Hmm. I've never really bothered with home DDR much, since the cheap plastic pads have a tendency to die bit by bit, and the decent ones are expensive.

Cobalt Fluxes are meant to be good, though. I think.

Aye, as I've discovered. Lick Lune However, I'm neither brave nor skilled enough to try out DDR in a public place, yet. Razz

I wouldn't worry too much about DDR in public - if you've been practising at home to any degree, which obviously you have, you're going to be better than most of the people around, and in my experience it's very rare to get anyone unfriendly watching you.

Anyway, with regards to the pad issue if you've got any questions I'd suggest DDR:UK, since people there will know considerably more about this than me. Razz

Yeah, mine ignores some steps sometimes. I hardly use it, though. Prefer the keyboard. Razz

My receptacle is buggered because my subscription to NGamer is almost over (one more issue left, can't believe it's been a whole year *weeps*) and I have little money. Oh well, I'll miss a few issues.

Mario Strikers: Charged Football. Specifically, the "Road to Striker Cup" part.

Ok. This is beginning to really piss me off. My team captain started off as Yoshi. Got through the first cup fine (Flame Cup - about 6 qualifying matches, semi-final, final, beat the current champion), no problems. Took me 2 tries, if I recall correctly. Moooving on to the Crystal Cup. Harder. There are 10 qualifiers, semi-final, final, best of 3 against the current champion. That's 15 matches in all. Semi-final and Final are instant knockout, pretty obviously. So, I tried about 2-3 times with my Yoshi team. I usually got to Semi-finals, but then got knocked out. So you have to start the cup again. It's ridiculously unforgiving.

I thought that it might have something to do with my team. So I started the whole thing again, with a new team. Which was awesome. I powered through the Flame Cup, and through a lot of the Crystal Cup. Knocked out in the Semi-finals. Restart cup. Play through it. Get knocked out in the Final. Rinse. Repeat. About 5 times so far.

One time, I beat the final, and was ecstatic until I realised that I still had the best of 3 to go. Guess what? I lost. Shall I tell you what I mean about how unforgiving it is? There isn't a way to save before a match, so you can't quit and reload if you lose. Yeah, you might see that as cheating... but now take into account that it takes about 45 minutes to even get to the semi-final.

So that's why I'm frustrated. I can't even make it past the second cup in this damn game.

The rest of the game's great. I can't wait to get some friends round here or get another nunchuck so I can try the offline multiplayer out.

Writing a personal statement. I like to think of myself as modest and as such hate bigging myself up to a ridiculous standard like the ones you need for UCAS applications.

Oh, and people who are successful at whatever they do without even trying whilst the rest of us struggle on and fail most of the time. So, really, I hate lucky people.

Yeah, I've always been hard on that. On job interviews it's like "tell us your best qualities" and I'm just like "....uh well I enjoy working?", meanwhile the other interviewer is like "I AM WONDERFUL AND CAN CALCULATE ANY EQUATION AND PROGRAM ANY INTEGRAL AND CAN DO TEN PUSHUPS AND LIGHT THE MOON ABLAZE" and the interviewers like "KAWAII!!!!!! ^_^_^_^^_^;;;;"

My PC's broken. Pretty sure it's the PSU. Dad said this morning it smelt "hot" and like "burning". So he unplugged it. He said I could try turning it on later, but if it exploded then it was my fault.

So later, I wanted to sync my iPod and download some podcasts, because we're going away with the family this weekend. It's not going to be good. Anyway, I plugged in the power cable, and all the lights started flashing. Our case is stupid and has blue lights on it to make it like it has an evil face or something on the front, it's retarded. So they all started flashing and it was making a bit of a strange noise, so I thought "Oh [Explitive Deleted]." and unplugged it. I then waited a bit, and plugged it back in. I didn't get the same light show as before, so I tried turning the PC on. Nothing.

So now it won't do anything. So that sucks. So I'm currently using my sister's laptop. I really hope Dad can fix the PC, because if he can't, he'll have to send it to the guy who built it for us, and depending on what's wrong with it, we may have to back some stuff up off it, which may include our documents, which may lead to parents finding some stuff which I may not want them to find.

So yeah, it sucks. Any advice/suggestions?

The fact my computer won't let me put tunes on my iPod because the software isn't "compatible".

And I don't know how to put movies on my iPod.

By the way, all the YTMND things (I think) are fake. At least I hope so. :S

On a similar theme, the fact that seemingly everyone I know has either already seen the new film or doesn't want to, thus leaving me unable to see it without being Saddo McBastard and going on my own. Which I refuse to do.

I hate that song that goes "Today's Friday, it is my day." Don't know what it's called, but it's popular, so it's everywhere, but it's shite, so it's driving me crazy with rage.

The way that when you order a toasted sandwich at a café, they give you this enormous portion of salad with it. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not averse to a good salad, but if I wanted a salad, I'd order one, and if I order a toasted sandwich, salad's generally the last thing on my mind. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a little salad, but there's generally more of it than sandwich. So annoying.

Someone in the name of Worminator ruining the new Harry Potter book by saying, "Hey Guys Harry Potter Dies" on his msn. Don't know if it is true but anyway if it is, I'll be annoyed.
