Yesss

Beat the final boss of Cave Story today ([spoiler:8d406ed0ea]that is, the Undead Core, Sue and Misery. I am never ever going to try for Ballos[/spoiler:8d406ed0ea]). Took me seven or eight tries.

Then a few hours later I remembered I still had the Life Pot so I could have beaten it a few days ago. ffffff.

Still I feel good about myself.

That said, I'll give the WiiWare release a miss.

I've been playing all the Streets of Rage games lately. The very first game in the series suffers from SEVERE quantities of Fake Difficulty and The AI is a Cheating Bastard. Don't play it. Shocking it was popular enough to have a sequel.

The other two games are of course quite good. But if you play the third game, get the Japanese version, as it doesn't use a completely retarded color scheme for the heroes and is also uncensored.

Finally, I find someone else who doesn't like Streets of Rage.

Then again I don't like the whole genre.

I'm playing Mother 3. lol

Let's be clear here, I only hate the first one.

You amateur.

Well, I would talk about how my enjoyment of Rune Factory is winding down due to the fact that I've nearly finished all the dungeons, got top level, yet there are still stuff I could be doing on the farm as the timing for each set of tasks is mis-matched and I don't know if I can be bothered to concentrate on that farm work soley when the game is finished and technically my goal is completed, but the only person who could relate is noenvy, who doesn't appear to be here.

The problem with this game is that you spend so much time slowly building up your skills and money then suddenly *fwoofh* you've done almost everything and the game's almost over before you could savour it.

Oh man, that helicopter battle was fun.
In fact, that whole game was fun.
I should play it again sometime.
Since I haven't done in years.
My sentences are shortening.
Getting shorter and shorter.
And even shorter.
And even more!
Oh my lord.
Oh, my.
End.

I never got into Viewtiful Joe.

But again, that's probably because I don't like beat 'em ups.
Someone told me it was a platformer. BUT THEY WERE WRONG.

Seriously, though, does anyone other than TMNT (I.E. maybe someone not quite so biased like Tommy) want to confirm or deny the greatness of Viewtiful Joseph?

Well it's definitely critically acclaimed but as far as I can tell it's one of those games Capcom love making that are rock hard and not very accessible. So love it or hate it probably.

As for the gameplay it's a 2D beat 'em up with special powers such as controlling time. The emphasis is on style and chaining combos, so very similar to Devil May Cry.

So a real man's game.

Yeah, it's actually pretty fun. I like it. Granted, I'm not that far in, but there's good comboing and plenty of replay value.

I've got Brawl in the Wii right now, currently going through Classic as Ganondorf.
I know I'm not good with Ganondorf but holy crap this is hard.

It took me about four minutes to kill off Diddy and Donkey in the second level, and then I got team Olimar and ARGH they whupped me. So not cool.
I'm on stage seven or eight or something right now. aldfjbnisernsdfjhb i hate ganondorf

So now I'm playing Kororinpa: Marble Mania, and I discovered a code! One that WASN'T already on GameFAQs! So I submitted it.

Of course it's the code to access the code entry screen, and apparently no one on the face of the planet knows any of the codes, and there are 2,985,984 possible combinations, and I ain't trying all of that.

I just recently got into a WW2 online flight combat simulator called IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. It's crazy hard/frustrating, but it's the most fun I've had playing a video game in a long time. If you like WW2 combat flight sims, IL-2 is the best one on the market right now(It has also been the best one on the market for like, five years).

I also recently got into playing N64 games. There's so many good ones and they're so cheap that I just gotta catch 'em all. I'm actually going to beat Ocarina of time. I know I nearly beat my N64 with a sledge hammer last time I got to the water temple, but for reallys, this time Gannon is going down.

That system actually has a lot of underrated games. It's kind of sad, but hey, they're cheaper for us, right? Razz

I'm plowing my way through the classic Mega Man series on the NES. So far, I've beaten 1, 2, 4, and 5.

Why'd you skip 3? Also, I told ya you > all when it comes to video games. This just seals the deal.

I has an MMO.

...in my defense, several of my offline friends are playing it. Blame them. Rolling Eyes Also, I'm not going to play it very seriously... at the moment, it's just a good boredom killer / procrastination tool.

The only bad thing about it? It looks just enough like WoW to have people ask if it is. Anger Lune

Wh- what the heck does this mean??

Hey, CM, I've actually heard of that. So it's decent then? Because I've been trying to find a DECENT free MMO, just to try.
I ain't payin' no billion dollars a year for WoW, I'll tell you that.

It means that Jake is better at video games than anyone else on this forum.

I used savestates except on bosses.

Also, I didn't really skip 3, I've just been playing them out of order. 5 was the first one I beat.
