Ok, so this Subspace Emissary is trying to splode the world with bombs, right? So the Adventure mode (im just guessin here) is probably gonna have at least a few "kill all the bad guys before 3 minutes are up" kind of things. But you know how Smash has had a few characters that were evil in theyre normal games, like Ganon, Bowser, and since I don't have a third how bout Mewtwo.. mmmkay? So maybe these evil guys will like team up with the supspace dudes and depending on who you play as youll either be fighting away mario whos trying to stop the bomb or fighting as mario stopping bombs...

Now for Meta Knights ship I really dont know. Maybe it just looks like his? Maybe it IS his but he got like mutinied and hes not behind the wheel? I dunno.

Yeah, this has always worried me about the Nintendo characters. As far as talking goes, I mean. I just can't see it happening, but you can't have a story without it. Right now it's pretty clear Link isn't going to talk the entire game since he never does, and Yoshi and DK only make animal noises (which sux I love those guys). However Peach might talk, I think she did once in the beginning of Mario Sunshine.

And don't forget that Nintendo can always do what they did in Twilight Princess when someone needed to talk: Make weird noises and add subtitles. Like, y'know, Peach going "nam nam nam nam nam" but the subtitles actually say something like "I should have paid attention when I got put in this cage".

Ok I didn't do a good job describing that, lemme try again. Remember in Animal Crossing how they talked (but didnt REALLY talk) and just made odd noises? Yeah, that's what I suspect they'll do.

Although I don't se a problem with making them F**********ing talk already. We've heard all of their voices, why shouldnt they?

Cause that's not the characters. If they wanna have Snake hee-in and haw-in that's one thing, but Mario/Link/Ness and a bunch of others are traditionally reserved, quiet characters. This has, in a way, developed their personalities as such. If you have Link talking then it creates the issue of what he's saying and how he's saying it. Remember the Zelda show? Imagine if that's what Smash Bros. did, to any character? Obviously they wouldn't make Link like that, but what if they made Ness really obnoxious, or anyone else? It'd just be ghey.

Characters like Zelda and Fox can handle the talking. Everyone else should just STFU and kill crap.

Aside from talking....

If Snake from a Sony game is in SSBB, then Master Chief from Microsoft and Bungie should be in there. Bill Gates actualy recomends the Wii, or atleast over the Playstation 3 (as far as I know, Bill owns a Wii). What I'm trying to say, is if Snake gets an invitation, then Master Chief should also, and I doubt that Microsoft/Bungie would say no, because It would boost their fan-base even more.

Also, then you could have a Samus Aran Vs. Master Chief battle and determen who the best space-hero is. Smile

But I guess we're all still hoping for Sonic to be in there, so whatever.

While MC would be cool, he'd be really out of place because he's never been on a Nintendo console or handheld or anything. I'm sure Gates would enjoy the free advertisements, but Nintendo fans wouldn't.

And I'm pretty sure Gates recommends the Wii because he realizes that Nintendo it is ~not~ Microsoft's opponent any longer. Their console is robust and multi-tiered and all about being more than a gaming system. The games all focus on some sort of multi-player competition - even a single player game, like Oblivion, will boast the achievements of its owner online, and adds to the overall gamerscore. The entire device and every component of it is in place so that gamers create a sort of familiar-feeling 'home base' with which to challenge the world. Nobody's gonna have your exact playlist. There are always things you can do to bump up your score. It's all vs. vs. vs.

The Wii is completely the opposite. At this point it's like Microsoft makes sneakers and Nintendo makes loafers.

If there's gonna be a representative from X-box that appears in Smash, it's gotta be either BK, Conker, or Joanna Dark, and of those three BK really is the best choice. BK is really going down the same road as Snake - had initial success on Nintendo butmoved on to a different venue, while still popping up on Nintendo stuff from time to time.

But wait... Snake's a Sony guy, right? Nope, maybe this is bullcrap, but I have it on good authority that he was originally on a Nintendo system.

Wait didn't someone in this thread say that already?

Anyway, clearly, the Master Cheif doesn't have a past with Nintendo. As much as I'd like to have him in there too, I don't think they'd even consider it.

And think: What would The Master Cheif offer that someone like Snake wouldnt? I know Snake has a rocket launcher, and I'm certain he's got an arsenal of other firearms too. So does the Master Cheif, and Sakurai said he wants no clones in Brawl. Sorry mein keifen but if the choice was between Snake and Master Cheif at some point before, I think Sakurai picked Snake.

Yeah, + sakurai said there are never to be any guns that work off bullets in the smash bros. series, as while it's always been about nintendo characters fighting, he's never wanted it to appear overly violent or cruel to the point that fans would see the game and be sad to see their favorite characters getting, like, shot in the face, or something. As it is the worst that happens is you get punched SUPER HARD!!! and go flying and turn into a star and pop.

LOOOOL, well it might have been cool to have him in regardless, as he could've had his rocket launcher, some plasma weps (perhaps a needler, kekeke), and then plasma grenades/frags. Although, they already put plasma's into the game, and the only difference between frags and bomb ombs would be the bouncing, so maybe there wouldn't be much of a call for that.

In an imaginary world where anything could happen, I'd love him as a character, but in all fairness BK deserves the spot so much more than him, and Rare deserves it so much more than Bungie. Look what Rare did for Nintendo - before them, Donkey Kong was pretty much phasing out of existance. Out of nowhere, though, they decided to revive him and turn what was initially a generic, arbitrary bad guy into a lovable, recognizable head of a very popular platforming franchise that still, ~to this day~, is making Nintendo very nice money. They even made a spinoff game from a character they invented that is now becomming it's own series. (Rare is making the DS version of DKR tho, since they are allowed to do handheld stuffs). And of course, BK/BT were much successes and some of the very few 'must have' games that the N64 ever had.

Honestly, Rare's been great to Nintendo, much moreso than Snake's company. They deserve an 'effin spot.

I think the Up B could be that back flip he did with kazooie that you used to get to abnormally high places (not the stretchy your leggy one).

Forward B should be a random egg. Normal is just like pewp and doesnt even move you. Fire should make you burn like Ness's PK fire does. The ICe one would be too overpowered if it was like a Freezie.. or would it? WHat's left, oh yeah the clockwerk ones, those could walk around like when bombombs are pissed. Did I miss any?

For the grab he should grab you in his back pack. You know how you can hit people when you grab them? Kazooie could start pecking em to death when theyre in the backpack, and then for the throw he'll throw the bag but hang onto the strap and Kazooie will go flying with the unlucky bastard. So the draw back is your B's are all on cooldown till she comes back.

Anyone got any kwail ideas?

EDIT: for dallas. I'm not positive but im pretty sure this is the last smash bros according to Sakurai. Unless maybe its the last one HES making, in that case theres a chance of either absolutely no third party characters or that Super Smash Brothers Altercation will be cram full of third party peeps.

This is the last Smash Bros. Sakurai is making, but for Nintendo to end Smash Bros. because he's left would be like a country dissipitating because a strong leader died - someone else can fill Sakurai's shoes and continue making the franchise great. At this point, all the pieces are in place, and it isn't that difficult to say "HMM, ADD DIDDY?"

As for a Halo DS, wow. I didn't even know about that, what's the deal with Microsoft letting all their third party dudes work for Nintendo's handhelds? XD That's pretty impressive, but even so it's still kinda iffy. After all, Cloud and Sora (from FFVII and KH, respectively) both appeared in a recent GBA game 'chain of memories'. However, it wouldn't seem right to have them in the game. Then again, that's more because there's tons of other square characters who are more nintendo than they are, whereas MC really doesn't have any fellow bungie characters he'd be overshadowing by coming on over.

Who knows, maybe they'll do some crazy crap where if you beat the Halo DS on legendary mode or something you get data that unlocks MC on SSBB. They did this with Melee, except it was trophies instead of characters. Who knowz?!?

Oh and fun fact - I just found out yesterday that Melee was so rushed that, from start to finish, they worked on it a grand total of 10 months. 10 months of production for a game that's outlasted every other game on its console and most of the games on others and netted them more money than any other game on the gamecube.

From what I can gain this is fairly recent. Bit of 'net research says it was pretty old but some guy's brought it up within the past couple of months trying to convince people it does exist. Also, I can't recall when NGamer's lied to me before. Anyway, I was only saying that while it's extremely unlikely for MC to be in some Smash Bros I don't think it's impossible. Should Halo DS exist.
